CUPE 407 is the laborer union of the Vancouver School Board. We are one of two unions that only work specifically for the VSB. We make up around 101 people, as per language in our agreement, and part time workers seasonally.
Our Union is important because we work with the Employer to improve quality of life at the workplace and at home.
How do we do this? We bargain every few years to update and adapt Our Collective Agreement. This is to keep up with the times and address problems we have discovered. In addition, your union is always working hard to make sure the agreement is upheld by both the Union and the Employer. We also throw events and give out merch to create team building and promote member wellness.
